We are now looking for a strategic and technically skilled product leader for the Contract & Product Management AEW & Ground Support section, who wants to take overall responsibility for the products related to AEW within Ground Support Equipment (GSE).

In this role, you will have a central position in shaping, developing, and optimizing a product portfolio that is crucial for delivery, availability, and business success. You operate at the intersection of technology, business, and delivery - with a clear impact on both profitability and competitiveness.

Your role

As a product leader, you have overall responsibility for the GSE portfolio related to AEW. You report to the head of Contract & Product Management AEW & Ground Support, who is also the product owner.

You drive the strategic work for the portfolio and lead through direction rather than line responsibility. You will have local product leaders at your disposal who are responsible for smaller product groups within various flight systems. Your mission is to ensure that the whole is optimized - technically, commercially, and logistically.

The role involves close collaboration with contract managers, strategic purchasing, engineering, and other key functions. You also play an active and important role in bidding work and larger campaigns where your ability to combine technical understanding with business acumen is crucial.

Your responsibilities also include:

• Developing and managing the product catalog and roadmap
• Prioritizing initiatives based on business goals, risk, and profitability
• Ensuring alignment between local product leaders and overall strategy
• Driving lifecycle management from requirements definition to maintenance and phase-out
• Optimizing the supplier base and delivery reliability in close collaboration with purchasing

In this position, you will be located at one of the sites where the section operates - Malmslätt, Arboga, or Östersund. Travel between locations may occur.

Your profile

We are looking for someone with experience in product management, technical business management, or portfolio responsibility in a complex and preferably regulated environment. You thrive in a role where you need to switch between strategic choices and operational follow-up, and where your ability to create structure and direction is crucial.

You have a strong system perspective and understand how technical decisions impact business, delivery, and long-term sustainability. At the same time, you are business-oriented and comfortable working with calculations, cost drivers, and priorities that strengthen margins and competitiveness.

To succeed in this role, we see that you have:

• Good technical understanding, preferably within complex systems or technology-heavy environments
• Experience working cross-functionally between technology, purchasing, and business
• The ability to analyze, prioritize, and make well-founded decisions
• Experience in product management, portfolio management, or similar responsibilities

As a person, you are structured and analytical, but also communicative and pedagogical. You easily build trust and consensus between different functions and levels in the organization. You are proactive, take ownership of your issues, and drive them forward with clarity and integrity.

Strongly meritorious are:

• Experience from aircraft maintenance or work close to flight systems
• Technical or practical knowledge of GlobalEye, Saab 340, Saab 2000, or similar platforms
• Experience from the defense or security-related industry

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable regulations for security protection. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may involve requirements for certain citizenship.
